Naoto Ohshima (大島 直人) aka "Big Island" - is the character designer and co-creator of Balan Wonderworld. Mr Ohshima is a Japanese video game designer and artist, who is best known for the creation of the designs of Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Eggman. He was founder of Artoon 1999, until Artoon became part of AQ Interactive.
